A very close second behind the Sony XM-series. I'd say these are definitely more comfortable for longer, extended wears if that's important to you. You can also find the gen 1's for cheaper (this is a confusing naming scheme) they're just branded as the QuietComfort, or the previous model line called the QuietComfort 45's.
